สารแสดงความเสียใจกรณีเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหวในพม่า
ตามที่ได้เกิดเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหวในพม่าเมื่อวันที่ 24 มีนาคม 2554 เวลา 20.29 น. (เวลาท้องถิ่น) หรือเวลา 20.55 น. (เวลาประเทศไทย) โดยมีจุดศูนย์กลางที่เมืองลอย มเว รัฐฉาน ทางตอนเหนือของพม่า และส่งผลให้เกิดผู้เสียชีวิตและบาดเจ็บ รวมถึงสร้างความเสียหายจำนวนมาก นั้น กระทรวงการต่างประเทศขอเรียน ดังนี้
1. นายอภิสิทธิ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายกษิต ภิรมย์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความเสียใจ ถึงนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศของพม่า ตามลำดับ โดยมีข้อความสาร ดังนี้
1.1 สารแสดงความเสียใจจากนายกรัฐมนตรีถึงนายกรัฐมนตรีพม่า

Excellency,
On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the Thai people,I wish to express my deepest sympathy to you and, through you, to the people of Myanmar who have been affected by the earthquake in eastern Myanmar on 24 March 2011.
I am certain that, under your guidance and able leadership, the courage and resilience of Myanmar people will take them through this difficult time. Thailand, I can assure you, stands ready to render necessary support to Myanmar in this task.
Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.

I am saddened upon hearing the report on the earthquake which struck eastern Myanmar on 24 March 2011, resulting in casualties and property damages.
May I take this opportunity to convey my heartfelt condolences to you and, through you, to the bereaved families. As a close neighbour of Myanmar, Thailand is prepared to support Myanmar to alleviate the plight of the earthquake stricken people.

2. นอกจากนี้ รัฐบาลไทยได้ประกาศให้ความช่วยเหลือเบื้องต้นแก่พม่าเนื่องในเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวจำนวน 3 ล้านบาท โดยเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงย่างกุ้ง อยู่ระหว่างการสอบถามฝ่ายพม่าเกี่ยวกับความช่วยเหลือที่ฝ่ายพม่าต้องการเพิ่มเติม
